Illusionist Sammy Cortino fuses live music with magic at the Hard Rock
(NASHVILLE, Tennessee — October 3, 2012) This is not your bunny out of a hat type of show with endless banter. Enter magic and illusion performed strictly to live music. Illusionist Sammy Cortino is adapting to the area: merging his livelihood with his other love of music. On October 29th with Nashville powerhouse Omega Swan, he will bring a new concert format to the Hard Rock’s Reverb Room that will blend the intensity of live rock music with the rawness of live magic, creating an unprecedented visual and aural experience. He’s performing large-scale stage illusions on a club stage while a live rock band backs him.
Instead of demanding a captive audience for the magic and using Omega Swan as a backing band; Cortino becomes the expressive medium of the music. He’s the visuals and the band is the backbone of the whole production. Cortino brings to the table his background in performing arts, having performed professionally for 12 years. He recently moved to Nashville from North Carolina to set the Music City as his new base of operations.
